West meets East at IAAPA Asia – Seoul, Republic of Korea

Lindstrand Technologies attended the IAAPA Asia Exhibition in June 2009 for the first time. The show was very well attended, so much so that LTL had to reprint product brochures after huge demand on the opening day.

Preliminary estimates indicate more than 3,500 people, including 2,700 buyers from 40 countries, participated in Asian Attractions Expo 2009. The four-day event, produced by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), took place 9 – 12 June at the COEX Convention and Exhibition Centre in Seoul.

The Lindstrand stand was visited by clients old and new and supported by our Korean Agent. The show gave LTL the opportunity to demonstrate its inflatable building technology in an environment where visitors could see the product ‘up close and personal’. Visitors were able to get a feel for the air cell technology and also see at first hand the high quality used in manufacture of these products.

Attendance at the show came off the back of recent business in Korea through the installation and operation of a HiFlyer on the island of Jeju, which is a popular holiday destination for many honeymooners and golfers. The HiFlyer in Jeju recently demonstrated the system’s ability to withstand winds in excess of 100 mph during the typhoon season.
