Inflatable Structures

Super Pressure Technology

A super pressure structure is kept up by an over pressure in the entire structure - the building is completely sealed to the ground and entry and exit to the super pressure structure is either through an air lock with two doors or through a revolving door.

A super pressure structure, being a single skin, is considerably cheaper to manufacture than an air cell building but then the expense of the foot ring or the cost of much heavier anchoring should be taken into consideration.

In some countries super pressure structures are regarded as a fixed building and need full planning permission while an air cell building is almost always classified as a temporary tent.
