Emirates Airlines, one of the sponsors of the FIFA World Cup in 2006, commissioned Lindstrand Technologies to make a dome for exhibition and entertaining purposes to use in 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
After the World Cup, the FIFA dome was used in various locations around the world, and is a good example of the way in which inflatable buildings can provide a solution when space is limited.
